Aurora Bridge

Location: Seattle, WA Contract Value:

The Aurora Bridge in Seattle was built in 1929. The official name of the bridge is The George Washington Bridge. It is a prominent downtown structure crossing Lake Union with 6 traffic lanes. The WSDOT determined that during a seismic event there would be serious damage to members and bearings. KWH Constructors performed the important first phase of the strengthening by reinforcing the mid span steel work and strengthening the main pier bearings.
