Equatorial Guinea

Based on our technical experience, scheme and proposal, KWH was selected from an extensive RFQ, by Bechtel International, to install a new 350m pipeline suspension bridge to a LNG plant loading jetty in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa.

KWH began by designing & building all the specialized erection equipment. The bridge was erected by a temporary ‘Hiline,’ a special purpose 40T capacity cableway. Each erection step was carefully analyzed and meticulously planned in order to assemble all of the equipment and tools in Canada and send to Houston to ship to Africa.

Our exclusive Canadian crew of skilled ironworkers, supervisors and management were sent to this remote site for the 9 month erection duration. Our entire job saw zero LTA or recordable injuries—a total of nearly 50,000 on-site hours
