232 Street Bridge

Location: Maple Ridge, BC Contract Value:

The old wooden 232 Street Bridge in Maple Ridge needed to be replaced with a new steel girder and precast panel bridge. This bridge needs to be higher to minimize debris and log jams during high water periods and the 35 meter span does not have piers in the water to minimize the impact on fish. The 20 ton bridge girders were erected from one side using a 270 ton hydraulic crane. Following after the steel erection KWH installed all the precast deck panels.
