North Mercer Island & Enatai Interceptor Upgrade-Pump Station Improvements

The North Mercer Island Pump Station (NMIPS) in Mercer Island, WA underwent improvements, including the construction of a new generator building, upgrading old equipment, and retrofitting the existing pump station building with new features. The intent of the improvements is to make the pump station more compatible with current infrastructure, as well as, to increase the capacity of the station to handle demand for decades to come. KWH worked as a subcontractor for Harbor Pacific Contractors and King County to install the roof beams and steel decking in the generator building, structural beams above and below ground in the pump station building, and a galvanized steel platform outside the pump station building. KWH's work began in December 2023 and reached completion in November 2024.
